New book series over the federations of Luftwaffe before and during the war. After 25 years (!) of research the authors, Paul G. Stipdonk and Michael Meyer, succeeded this comprehensive work. Many photographs which originate from private archives and also were not published before. The groups of the Ergänzungszerstörergruppen, the Lehrgeschwader 1, the Nachtjagdgeschwader 1, the Nachtjagdschule 1 and the Zerstörergeschwader 1 are getting discussed. There is also an additional appendix of picture from machines of unknown units. The impressive, partly stung sharp illustrations give also an unfailing impression of the everyday life of a squadron and over the conditions, on which the soldiers at that time stood.
